JK Sessions – Mark Wilson

Mark is a Cornwall-based acoustic singer-songwriter whose distinctive fingerstyle guitar playing blends punchy rhythms, intricate slide work, and heartfelt lyrics inspired by life and nature. Influenced by artists including John Butler, Ben Howard, Alexi Murdoch, and Fink, he creates an intimate, uplifting live experience.

Having started playing guitar at 12, Mark has performed at renowned venues and festivals including The Troubadour, Ronnie Scott’s, The Barbican, Maida Vale, and The Big Chill. Since releasing his debut album Roots & Wings in 2023, followed by Unfold in 2024, he has become a regular on the Cornish music scene and has been highlighted by Matt Tancock on BBC Introducing as “one to watch.”
